National Defence Academy
Course Highlights
  • NDA is the joint services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academies for further pre-commissioning training.
  •   About 4,50,000 applicants sit for each National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam but only about 6,300 of them move forward to the next stage.
  • Applicants are selected via a written exam conducted by the UPSC, followed by extensive interviews by the Services Selection Board (SSB) SSB covering general aptitude, psychological testing, team skills as well as physical and social skills, along with medical tests.

National Defence Academy – Entrance Exam

Course Highlights
  • The CDS exam is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.
  • Open to unmarried graduates, the eligibility criteria differs based of whether you are applying for the army, navy or airforce.
  •   Successful candidates are admitted into the respective Academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). Female graduates can apply only for the Officer’s Training Academy.
